Stay A Minute Here — a poem

“History in general is therefore the development of Spirit in Time, as Nature is the development of the Idea in Space.”

― Georg Hegel

Stay a minute
Here I ask

Next to me
So tense and tight;

No time to play
Just do as I say,

No wonder
She’s hesitant;

Perhaps I could
Find her
Way to space

Where there’s
Horizons to seek
A friend to meet;

Acres to roam
Doesn’t mean
Far from home

It’s a feeling of
Endless adventure;

It’s clear that here
Is a better place

When the
Minds left
Open to consider;

So, here
I’ll make
Some space somewhere

So long as
I can be
With her.
